STPG410
Data verifiedSTPG410 is the higher-strength JIS G3454 pressure pipe grade, the counterpart class to ASTM A106 Grade B — the most widely specified carbon pressure-pipe level in Japanese plant engineering, with tensile strength of at least 410 MPa.
Chemical composition
| Element | Content (%) |

| C | ≤0.30 |
| Si | ≤0.35 |
| Mn | 0.30–1.00 |
| P | ≤0.040 |
| S | ≤0.040 |
Weight percent, per the governing standard ranges. Actual values per heat are on the mill certificate.

Applications & Processing
Applications: Process and power plant piping, steam lines, refinery and chemical plant pressure piping.
Processing: Standard carbon-steel welding; with C up to 0.30% and Mn up to 1.00%, check CEV on heavy-wall pipe and apply preheat accordingly.
FAQ
- Can STPG410 replace A106 Gr.B on a Japanese project?
- It is the home-market counterpart and normally the specified JIS option; composition and tensile class overlap A106 Gr.B closely. For ASME-code work the drawing standard still governs acceptance.
