S32760 (F55)

Data verified

S32760 (sold as Zeron 100 / F55) is a super duplex stainless alloyed with tungsten and copper on top of the 25% chromium super duplex base. The W and Cu additions lift pitting resistance and give useful resistance to sulfuric and other reducing acids.

Applications & Processing

Applications: Subsea and offshore oil & gas, seawater injection, desalination, FGD systems, acid handling in chemical plant.

Processing: As for 2507 super duplex: qualified welding procedures, phase-balance and corrosion testing are standard; the copper content also improves machinability slightly over S32750.

FAQ

S32760 vs S32750 (2507) — what is the difference?
S32760 adds 0.5–1.0% tungsten and 0.5–1.0% copper to the same 25Cr super duplex base, improving pitting resistance and acid performance; S32750 is the more widely stocked default.
