NM600
Data under reviewNM600 is the hardest grade in the GB/T 24186 family (570 HBW and up): maximum resistance to sliding abrasion for flat wear parts, with minimal toughness reserve. If a part must bend, absorb impact or be welded extensively, this is the wrong grade.

Applications & Processing
Applications: Extreme-abrasion liners, classifier and fan blades, wear plates in cement and aggregate plants, target and barrier plates.
Processing: Cut by waterjet or plasma; drilling/machining needs carbide and rigid setups. Welding only with strict low-hydrogen, preheat and small-bead practice — or bolt it instead.
FAQ
- Is NM600 just a better NM500?
- Only against sliding wear. Its impact toughness is far lower, edges chip, and forming is effectively impossible — treat it as a bolt-on liner plate, not a structural material.
