A351 CF8M
Data verifiedASTM A351 CF8M is the cast equivalent of 316 stainless — the molybdenum-bearing grade for chloride-bearing process streams, seawater-adjacent equipment and chemical valves where CF8 pits. It is the most common stainless casting grade in refinery and chemical service.

FAQ
- CF8M vs CF3M?
- CF3M is the low-carbon (≤0.03%) version for welded assemblies that cannot be solution-annealed after welding. For castings that ship solution-annealed, CF8M is the standard choice.
